Just to let any of you know that do not already...
If you purchase an item in the US, or Mexico, that is for personal use, you do not have to pay duty on it, just the GST. Just make sure when you order that item, that the company puts on the box or container that the product is made in either of those countries.
If you have paid duty on such an item you can claim the charges back from Customs.
I just bought an Ice Gator, and the people there did not know this, so from now on will be putting a sticker on the boxes showing they are made in the USA.
