Buck Lake

I was just wondering if anyone has been out to Buck Lake latley. Was thinking of going out tomorrow. I just want to know if its really worth driving 2 hours too.

Also any pointers would be helpful as I never fished it in the winter.

I'm in the same boat, taking a buddy out tomorrow and am kicking around the idea of Buck Lake, but haven't heard much for reports since the ice came. I had a great few days out there in early October, but I've never fished it on the hardwater.

If you see two guys in a Nissan Frontier pick-up with a black Sub-Zero shelter, come by and say hello.

Any updates or reports from others are greatly appreciated!

I was out at Hasse Lake today. Between the wife and I, landed 26 perch but not one over 6". Fishing about 150 M straight out from the dock, you could watch them take the maggot about 6' below the ice. Not much for "real fish" but would be a great place to take the kids or grandkids for decent action.

The only thing that worked for us out there today was maggots.

Was out at South Buck on Sat...and Bubkiss...3 hours and nada...The ice is good though
