Kananaskis Lakes?

I have heard mixed things about upper and lower Kananaskis lakes and most of the recent posts are open water related. Does anyone ice fish there regularly or have any luck there. I had even heard that one of them had the fishing habitat totally destroyed a few years ago. I want to try some lakes west of Calgary and was considering these. Any help appreciated.

was at lower k on dec 27th and did quite well , fishing wasn t as good as some other times we ve been there but still managed 4 in the 5 lbs range, a 7 lbs and my biggest through the ice which was a little over 10lbs ..

I have not ice fished upper K in probably 5 years but from what I hear its kinda hit or miss!!

was at lower k yesterday got two bulls through the ice

all this fish I had swim by on the sonar were about 35-40ft down in about 65-70ft of water.
