I want a trailer for many things.. I have a drag car I race and take to and from the track so i need something big and heavy enough to carry my camaro and tools. I enjoy ice fishing on the lake and was thinking maybe I can make a combo unit. Enclosed car trailer with a wood stove, tool boxes up front a few bunk beds, couch or 2...generator for the occasional time when needed, nice stereo.. maybe a small tv for the fishin camera. I could take the thing sledding in revelstoke sleep in it and not pay stupid hotel rates and be at the bottom of the hill first thing in the am. I could also move around lakes alot easier with a trailer than with my shack I had last year (16x8) on 6by6 skids. it was a pain and stayed in a crappy location all year. I'm looking for ideas, plans and or info for someone who has already done this. I'll make a few removable floor pieces maybe 5'by6'... it would sure be nice if the thing sat right down on the ice if the wheels could come sit up inside as well so your not fishing 2 feet above the water level.

sounds easy enough just do it!! The only issue I see is the lowering to the ice part but if you have a decent budget you could get creative with an air bag system. Other than that buy a tv, a couch, a heater and away you go.

Here are some sites with plans for frames that lower to the ice
