Headed out to Sylvan on Sunday with mommabear to chase some whites and jacks! Black igloo tent and blue chevy with a topper. Come by and say hi and have a hot coffee!!!! Should be in the bay off of R.R 20 i would think.

Heading to sylvan in the am. anyone know what the ice is like? taking my bro in law trying to get him his first fish. thinking rr21 or 22

Was out Thursday off RR23. Ice was about 16-18" Not much for Drifts due to the warm weather. A few vehicles out driving on and off but I still chose to walk on.

Morning was good, seen a few trucks on there so i wasn't worried about the tiburon going through. bro in law caught his first fish through the ice had a blast. and a big thanks to a fellow outdoorsman for offering his power auger. hand auger works but gets tiring after a few holes.

Awesome dude glad to hear you had a good day. I love bringing first timer's it's just as exciting when they catch em. I nfact the feeling is just as good just to see them get excited... and X2 on the auger I too have a hand auger and the last time I was out some gut drilled us like 10 holes!!! Never got his name but to all of you who do nice things... good karma too you:wave:
