Went out to Blood on Saturday with a buddy and the fishing was great, bite was on from 7 till about 12 and then died off, but we were still catching the odd big one every now and then after 12. black jig flies tipped with green power bait seemed to be working best, but there was lots of people out there catching them on a variety of different things. Mealworms seemed to work well for others.

Lots of little guys, but the bigger ones were between 1 and 2 pounds, nothing over that though.

I can remember fishing there with my dad when I was a little gaffer and catching fish that averaged between 4-5 lbs range. Glad to hear there are still some good one left
