the big island straight out from the boat launch on the south west side 15 20 feet if water. by were the cat tails are there is a big hole with good stucture and it does hold a few walleyes. there aren't that many walley in that lake but thats were i've caught em (the walleye). so if you wana catch perch that's were they are.

What types of fish can you catch at jackfish (the one out west of edmonton by mink)? i've heard some different things. One guy told me its a trout/perch pond but the regs says pike/perch so im a bit confused?

It's a great lake for nice walleye. They can be very hard to find, but if you know your spots there is nice healthy 5-7lb eyes in there. Pulled out a 12lb 2 oz 38.5 inch pike out of there last week. Quite the surprise as the hole I was out produces nice eyes, but anything over a 2 lb pike is rare. I was using an ultr-lite which made it quite fun!!!!

Awesome, thanks! Just from your experience could you go there and pretty easily have a 20 fish day? Also do you catch some of everything or alot of hammer handle pike and some walleye if you know where to find em?

THANKS!

It's very easy to have a 20 fish day there. But most fish will be hammer handles. The walleye are extremely healthy if you can find them.
