Fishing was not bad on the weekend. Brought back some barely legal pike. Are they ok to eat out of there? They also have a pinkish hue to them. ? If the light hits them right it looks like the have a rainbow down their sides from head to tail. Rainbow/Pike? Thanks.

Pinkish meat or pinkish skin/scale color?
I've eaten pike with pinkish meat before, Dad used to tell us it was just cuz the lake had alot of fresh water shrimp the fish were eating. But Dad isen't always right, lol.

Apparently lots of shrimp in this lake. Should have been stocked with trout. It's the skin tone that is pinkish. They look like they should spend some time on a beach tanning.

How thick was the ice out there is it safe to drive on it.

Every one is driving on except me. Lots of ice. 16-18" That's where we are fishing mind you. Don't know how thick it is where they're driving. Fishing in maybe 3 feet of WATER & weeds.
