Has anyone been out on Wizard or the North end of Coal lately? My 3 year old asked if we could do a fishing day this weekend and I was hoping to get him out.

How is the ice? Lots of vehicles driving out? Any floodwater? I broke through last year in Saskatchewan and am a bit gunshy now, especially with kids along and I just got a new truck last week.

The ice at Wizard is 20 inches thick, solid from top to bottom. It looks like there was flood water recently but it is solid now. At the east end anyway. I was there yesterday evening.

Coal has 14-16 on the north end.. little bit of slush left over from early floodwater. Lots of guys driving.. you might want to stick to trails.

coal was great last weekend...drove my car on and was find...caugh a few little ones...

coal was great yesterday went out to the shack for a couple hours and brought in nine jack, no keepers, lots of ice though
