Lookin to get a new ice auger and really like what I hear about the Eskimos.
More specifically I want the Shark Z71 but would settle for the Z51.....prefer the 10" too but the 8" would do.
Anybody know of a place that has one of them let me know!!
Thanks

Costco sells them for the best price. Question is if they have any stock left.

What if you gave Cabelas Ca. a phone call and see if they can bring it in? They do sell the Eskimo Augers and if you really want the Shark product I would think they would try and accommodate you. Or call Eskimo for there input.

The smaller models(33cc) aren't good at all. My buddy has one and I broke the recoil. They are plastic and when I called lawnmower hospital they said that the recoils were on backorder from Eskimo. I was then told that I am # 44 on the list of backorders. I did manage to get his back together but I think i ended that augers career for the winter :( Needless to say I would not recommend the smaller models to anyone.

:mad3: I bought the viper s33 ser# 31744 8" eskimo auger late last spring. Drilled aprox 10 holes last year and 2 this year when the recoil asembly broke. Low and behold went to order a new one and guess what, on back order :lol::lol: As stated, they are all plastic and I guess they just snap. Happens again, I'll chuck it.

I had heard of this before on their lower end augers but there have been no issues with the Z51 or Z71 Sharks...

One day delivery from Saskatoon from http://northprosports.com/index.php/cPath/142_171?osCsid=55d5d0b57911b34173c3caef913ff577
Pretty good service....
Anyway I finally got to pick it up this morning and fire it up.
Very easy pulling, even has a decompression button, lit up at 3 pulls.
Seems very well built and really like the trigger throttle.
As with all the new augers there is alot of plastic so we will see if it can handle what the Jiffy did.
Was supposed to be off tonight but going into work so I could'nt make it out to a lake to fish so I went to city pond to see how it cuts...
All I gotta say is wow!!!
Motor is very strong and cuts fast with no hesitation anywhere,no force needed to push down just hang on and let the auger cut. This is where it is better than my old jiffy as the 10" Jiffy requires some downward force to cut.
Initial impressions are great and I'm gonna really like using this new toy.
Was gonna keep the old Jiffy just in case but I think shes going up for sale!!
