try east pit about 5 min north of the wababmun township turnoff, pink powerbait works well there ive pulled the odd 5 pounder out good luck.

Carson lake will still be OK. They won't be that big though.

Chain lakes by Athabasca will also produce some trout for this time of year.

carson is great... had great luck there this year yah sure lots of small ones but when your catching 300-400 fish a day you'll get 30 or so over 2lbs and about another 10-15 over 4 pounds.. ive got some really nice ones out of there this year.. trying to figure out how to post a picture from my cell phone on here..if i do i'll post it..pulled a really nice 6lber out of there this year

There is two lakes within forty five minutes of edmonton. Try Star Lake near mink lake or drive up the highway to salters lake. Both lakes produce a good size trout around 3 to 4 lbs but there is also good variety in sizes.

If ur willing to take the drive...? BullsHead res. has ample huge Bows. Trophy lake. Strict restrictions though...which is good... n is why it remains a trophy lake. Ur average Bow outta there would be 16 - 20 inch. But there r some bigguns in there, mark my words. Potential records for Alberta...i reckon:wave:
