evening at jackfish - 06 aug '07

hit jackfish last night.
got there about 6:30-ish, fished 'till 10:00-ish.
landed about 30 pike between the 2 of us!!!!!!!
probably a quarter of those being legal size!!!!!
all c'n'r-ed to bite another day!!!
lots of fun!!!
probably a third of them followed right to the boat and bit within rod's length!!!!!!
in a canoe so we were silent and stealthy!!!!
no walleyes this time...first trip in the last 4 to jackfish we didn't see any. very hot and lots of speed boat noise tho...

Cool! That is a good ratio of keeper sized pike! Is this the Jackfish lake West of Edmonton kind of out by Stony (don't really know exactly where)? Might have to try some more local lakes before the trout season arrives.

lots of wee fish but the average seems much better this year.
