anyone know if the whites have started to pick up yet?
was out last week and probably seen 20 but not one bit

not sure about pigion yet but at lac. st. anne there still in deep water, at wabanum there just starting to hit a bit better...best day so for was 35 landed and about another 20-30 lost or not wanting the hook

if you are fishing at pigeon in the spring what would be the best lure for pike?? can anyone help me out?

Whites will start being a bit more cooperative when the water gets below 50. A week or two and it should start up. (with as cold as it's been).

Pike at Pidgeon? - I generally target Walleyes out there (plentiful and nice size). I think you can still eat three for a $10 tag - hard to catch them under 43cm but after about 100 landed (ussually by noon) you should get a few keepers.

I'd suggest Wabamun for Pike - lot's and lot's of nice size Pike.

For Pike - in any lake - I like a Booya spinner bait (red, white or red/white), rapalas and predex plugs, and spinners (mepps #5's and Muskie killers). My fishing bud likes five of Diamonds and other spoons.

Pike are not finicky eaters. All steel and plastic tastes good to these snot monsters.

ask 10 guys, you will get 10 different answers. it depends on what you consider best; i like sight fishing for big pike in spring / fall. on the right days, wab is great fro that
