Mons Lake

Hey Guys,

Was at Mons Lake last weekend and I found it really slow. I dont ice fish much but I am trying to get in to it more. Guys have any recommendations for lures? I could see lots of perch below, but they would just push my lure around and thats about it. Few nibbles here or there. I was typically trying Maggots on a small green bead head hook. I do have a hut.

Also any other decent perch lakes around that area a guy could try?

I have not been to mons in years as the perch got smaller and less plentifull. I would go to long lake. Was there 3 weeks ago some nice size perch biting was fair. Does anyone know how they are biting this week?

Long lake hey, didn't think of going there. I have fished it before, primarily only for jack and everything seems to few and far between last time I went so I quit fishing it. Was always full of weekend skiers etc.

By the way, driving on that ice now should be pretty safe I would think hey? It was over 18" where I was last week. I have a Ram 1500.
