Have you heard of Abraham lake or Allison lake in Rocky mountain house??? how is the fishing there

I think Abraham has a damn on it. Not 100% sure, but I think I heard that over on IceShanty forums. If I remember correctly it has lakers, but you gotta be real careful if its the one I'm thinking of...

I have not fished either but have been to Abraham a few times and have seen a couple of boats out fishing. Abraham is over an hour west of RMH past Nordegg. The area is stunning. If you want to find it on a map or Google Earth go to Nordegg on HWY 11 and keep going west until you see a fairly large body of water on your left. That is Abraham.

Yes - there is a dam on Abraham Lake.

There are guys that fish the pocket water left after the water receeds right by the dam. Its not for the feignt of heart with all the springs and such, lots of week spots and open water year round. I have heard of guys fishing where the cline runs into it and having some luck.
