heading out to fawcett lake this weekend, sat and sun with my dad (turned 66 years young this week) I'm sure ice conditions are good, shouldn't be any flood water with all this cold weather. Any tips would be great, hoping to have a fun weekend with some good fishing. We will be out there with a black GMC extended cab and a white FORD quadcab stop by and say hi :wave: I'd like to target perch but the (old) boys don't care they just want to get into some fish. (oh yeah 1 first timer) Any help would be great.

bring a shovel in case you break through the snow. we were at pigeon today and broke through the hard packed snow many times resulting in a lot of digging, even on the ice roads. The worst part is how slippery the snow was. hopefully the weather will co-operate before you head out but good luck.
