i was wondering what u guys thought?? I wanna take my kids out ice fishing tomoro but i havent been out this year yet and not sure where the best place to go would be in the edmonton area i was thinking coal lake. I dont care what they catch but i would like to see them catch something lol. what do u guys think ??

I would say head to wabamum and fish for pike, it's C&R but the fishing is great.

Hasse would be great for smaller children. Tons of little perch in there, Im told the odd rainbow too. I wouldnt expect any keepers though.

pike are doing great a wabanum... just go right off the pier i town you'll see where everyone is fishing...

or drive 10 mins further down the highway and go on at fallis... great fishin there too and if thats not workin for u cross the highway and its 5 mins to lake isle

Coal is steady hammer handles and easily accessed at the north end.The trails are good for driving and if you do get stuck there's a lot of people that will help you out.The fish ARE bigger at Wab. though like the last poster said. Good luck.:)

Coal or wab id say. Hasse is meh. Cus you really gotta let those little things play with your hook before theyll get it in there mouth.

thanks alot guys i think im going to head to coal lake this afternoon is there perch in there too and should i be heading to the north end or the south end ?
