Wow its comming along really good... now heres an extra step... WHY? or why not... Why do you fish a specific fish in summer not in winter or vise versa?

I fish pike in the winter because the meat is firmer.

Simply because I dont have a boat, or all the knowledge for summer fishing. I usually only fish trout in the small stocked ponds during summer. Unless I go on some big trip.

Personally, I target species in the SPRING and FALL months. But summer trout fishing is tooooo good.

In spring, I'm targeting Walleye, big walleye in particular. Definitely the time of year to successfully target ol' marble eye. Spring is also consistent for gigantic pike with bellies full of whitefish.

If I'm with the wife we'll fish for pike and walleye but if I'm alone I'll take the fly rod to the Bow and cast for browns and rainbows.
She's afraid to try fly fishing.
