I went out over the long weekend. it was my first time out there so I had no idea where to fish. I caught nothing and saw nothing. I've heard that a few people were catching walleye right off the boat launch but can't confirm it.

Dead? not quite. We caught a lot of walleye there this past summer. We fished from the Pier down along the shore that parallels the campground and back up. About 100 ft out. 12 to 14 ft of water. Trolled up and down the shore and caught lots of walleye in the 2 to 3 lb range. Walleye is a 0 limit and I'm not sure where to find the whitefish and pike.

I've fished Fickel hundreds of times and done very well. The best spots are down the far end of the lake for pike in the winter, Straight off the point in the middle of the lake for the walleye in the summer or winter and as for the whites I have no idea cause I don't chase them. 5 years ago you would only catch a walleye if you were lucky but since then it seems like they out number the pike. I think Fickel holds the next record fish as I've seen some huge monsters in there well over the 40 pound mark. Hope this helps

Well i managed to get yesterday to Fickle for the first time..i was very suprised not to see a single person out there until about 4pm. i thought it would be busy on a warm day like yesterday.
Anyways not much of a report, it was slow..managed to hook a few on the tip ups but lost them at the hole..im going to have to giver another go in a couple weeks
