4 small ones, 2 over, 2 under at Badger today. Full moon for the derby. It's my fault, I told the Mobys to stay away till next weekend.

Have only been to CV once this year so far and onlu caught a couple of pike. We usually fish there a lot but have spent the last several trips at Clear. We have never caught a perch at CV but have seen many on the fish cam so know they are there. Remember if you want to go for broke at Cv bring your walleye rigs, pike rigs, burb rigs and perch rig as well. We have caught many of the first three there.

Was out down south and had a pretty good day. Got a 44" fish that took some real careful alignment to get through the hole. Definitely north of 25 pounds...was totally obese. Just an absolutely awesome fish. Put her back to see if she can hit that magical 30 mark in another few years.

Followed that up with a 35", a 28", and a couple of other smaller fish. The 28" had 8 partially digested baits and a big single hook in its guts. Missed a few other flags too, so overall a damn fine day to be out. Definitely not as much action as this weekend last year but if you're catching those 10+ year old fish you can't complain.

I fished the same water last weekend and had a tough go of it, so I think it's starting to turn a bit. We'll see what the next couple of weekends bring.

we watch them on the camera- the pike will stare at bait forever, and not attack until it is taken away from them, fwihw.

Went to McGregor today NE corner of the dam. Three small fish between ten people. That's twenty holes from 6 ft to 29 ft. Dismally slow:cry: The guy up from us came by and didn't see a fish all day. I would have moved but the group was just too big.
