Neat story for all............. :D
Well we went moose hunting in October and ended up fishing.
I kinda didn't come prepared to fish because we were bow hunting but my friend brought a couple of rods.
I watched first and sat on the bank of the Athabasca river.
The guys caught a 4 small 3-4 lb walleye the my pals uncle caught a 9lb walleye.
That was awesome and what a pull he commented.
My other friend then caught a 5lb walleye and asked if I wanted to fish now :huh: well yaaaaa give me a rod dude...
My first fish was about 2-3 lb walleye, then a pike hammerhandle.
Then the :evilgrin: devil hit my rig from below and I fought this fish carefully so I could get it up enough to see it.
Well it was huge..my best walleye ever.
I landed it and even got my pal to get the fight on video.
It was 11.5lbs on the scale.
We each kept a fish 5lb/9lb/11.5lb
My pal said it was normal fishing in his secret spot to catch big walleye like this....too much fun... :D
