pigeon walleye

any reports from pigeon, iam planning on going out on sunday and would like to nail a few wallys. my partner still has 3 tags left for the lake.i have never ice fished pigeon, just wondering at what depth there biting.

We caught afew at the park January, filled half our tags(2 guys, so 3 fish) and caught afew larger ones that we don't have tags for. but havent been there in a month an a half. We were catching them right at the drop off straight out from the launch.

i have fished pigeon lots from boats, but never thru the ice. were you hitin them deep at the bottom of structure, or did it seem to matter, thanks for your reply

On bottom mostly. If you can get them to rise with your lure they'll hit it for sure though.

thanx for info, i think were going to the west side about midlake and trying bottom of fast dropoff in about 25fow, i hope its not slushy out there on sat. as there calling for about 8 degrees.
