Gull or McGregor?

I've been too busy to get out for the past few weeks so I don't know what the ice is like lately. I'm going to try and get out at least once this weekend to try for some whites since the burbs are spawning.

Which would people recommend Gull or McGregor? And how is the ice at both? If we go to McGregor it would be the north end which I've only been to twice in my life so I really don't know the area well.
