Fishing near town of Cold Lake

Just wondering if there is any decient fishing around the cold lake town site? I do not know the lake and have the oppertunity to go there thursday, while my g friends at work, but do not want to venture to far from town.Would benice to go for pike. Any help would be great.

I might misunderstand but cant you fish in Cold lake? Not sure if there are pike in there but there are some lake trout larger than alot of the pike in the rest of the province.

You should be able to go out from the marina not far, look for holes and should get some trout,pike maybe some perch. when u get out just ask what there fishing for in that spot? probly lakers.
