Cold Lake

Heading up to Cold Lake this weekend. Is the ice still safe to drive on? Any big flood water? Any info would be appreciated! Never been up there.

Very safe, 3+ feet on Alberta side. Getting on from the provincial park dock is becoming a problem.

What about at the marina?

Of course there still lots of ice :p.
And from what iv heard from my foreman.
The marina is the best access.

Checked the marina last night.. Looked great no separation at this point. Ice is great and riding high with little to no slush on top.

Perfect! The trout shoud be coming in a bit shallow now? I've been doing some homework on them so hopefully it pay's off! I'm going to try an evening bite for some walleye as well. I'll post my results on Monday. Thanks for the feedback.

Ice is in great shape. D*mn wind was cold today ! Fished 8 to noon. 122fow , first fish , 14lbs , within seconds of hitting bottom. A couple of small ones , then an 8.5lber. One more small one then home. No burbot fishing tonight.

I understand the lake entrance at the park is iffy for trucks. Can anyone please advise if quads can go ok or what the specific reason is. Would like to take my quad because it is plated and my skidoo is not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Park boat launch was a bit wet but was perfectly fine.
