Generally speaking, yes, bait is banned on the Bow. However, during certain times of the year and on certain stretches of the river, maggots can be used.

If you're not familiar with the Bow, make sure you read the regulations over carefully. I'm not sure if there is another body of water in Alberta that has more specific regulations, depending on the time of year and part of the river.

Most bigger rivers in ES1 have very specific regulations, definitely make sure you read 'em and understand them.

The crowsnest has very specifc regs on it as well, read the regs carefully, almost was fishing in closed waters last season..
