did anyone fish Clear this week? wondering how the access is for foot travel?

Guess not. Going elsewhere this weekend but was considering tossing a bottom smelt rig or smelt on a bobber off shore into open water. Really don't have to cast very far off shore to hit 6 - 8 feet of water. I had most luck this year on the east side just after the point where the lake takes a turn. Maybe bobber is best with 6 feet of leader to keep it on top of the weeds.

Might even find a decent piece of ice to stand on to do this. Haven't heard any updates but can only make and educated guess and say there's not much ice left.

Plan to give this a try soon but when I get my Pike fly rod, then it's gonna be another story. :evilgrin:

guess I will save the gas and give Newell a try tomorrow, see if I can jig up a pike with Shelleys pike flies :D they are still driving on it.
