I know it is open for fishing. Was wondering if there is no ice in the east canal.
Maybe you meant open water not sure. :lol:

I was around there today and yes is ice free

...from someone that there are some VERY LARGE and Hungry Fish around that Dam and thoughout the immediate area.

Anyone care to comment regarding the fishing there... ?

backside of the actuall damn... big 5 of diamonds... where the water churns... the old polish guy stood beside me all day and caught nthn while i pulled out 10-15 lb pike

Yup, big five of diamonds works great there, also any lure that looks like a perch seems to work also. Ive also used a jig head with a double tailed Mr twister on it and they have hit that many times. You cant beat that five of diamonds for pike though.
