All ready been pricing one out.
the fishing was good for the home town boys, as for the fishing on my end I got schooled by Splake.
Good time had by the Calgary guys with the help from Ed and Splake.
I will be back with something called Vexilar

Headed out on the lake via the campground and yes got lost, when a guy in a ranger drove by and said follow me. After fishing for about an hour found out that it was splake.
Used your map but i think I need to go to map reading classes:lol::lol:

A little slow but still caught some fish..

At least you caught some. Any kind of sonar will work , just watch for fish at different depths and reel up to them. Gotta get the boat out there and find some good spots. Does Cold Lake open May long ?

The lake is closed till may 20 this year, so no it will not be open for the long weekend. Any thoughts on what sonar to buy.

I used an Eagle 480 , but you need to keep the screen warm ( shack ). I had my Lowrance Lcx 15 rigged and ready to go but didn't go. Was going to buy an Eagle 640c color. The Vexilar is available at The Fishinhole , but $$$$$. Check Ebay over the summer. Any size to the fish ?

the biggest our group got was about 8 lbs, but some of the guys around us were catching them in the 15lbs ranges..
