Is the ice off Glenmore Res yet? I really want to get out!

Glenmore wont be ice off for at least a few weeks, it's always quite late in the year.

Get out there and see for yourself shooter! Hop on your bike, throw your rod in your backpack and find a spot. That's what I used to do before I could drive, and more often than not my decision was rewarded with finding new spots that hardly anyone else knew about.

-and those spots have lots of fish!!

The west end ( south side access from Oakridge?) is open in spots.

pretty much open yeterday , at least around the bridge

Was there yesterday, got beat by wind for couple of hours, tried lots of spots and different lures but nothing. Saw a bunch of guys by 24street marina and they hauled in one fish, nothing spectacular just a hammer handle.

It needs another week to open up properly. Water level is so low that i was able to walk into the elbow river delta, found a couple of rusted spoons and a bunch of wire leaders...all in all it wasn't that bad, at least i found something ;)

Just goes to show. Fish or no fish, no trip out is a waste! Got some casting in, shouted some spots, and cleaned up a bit. All good things!
