I am looking for campgrounds in Lloydminster area (or somewhere
NorthEast from Calgary). Have never been there.. I prefer a privately
owned small tent campground close to water where it is possible to
have good fishing experience. Any recommendations?

Hard to believe that nobody knows any camp

It's nowhere near Lloydminster but it's north of Calgary. Carson Pegasus Provincial Park a bit West of Whitecourt. You can get a lot beside the lake to pitch a tent and the Rainbow fishing is great! I go there every Spring for at least one weekend.

Whitney Lakes Prov Park. (Laurier Lake, Whitney Lake, Ross Lake...) (Pike, Perch)
Meadow Lake Prov Park. (Sask)
Cold Lake.
Muriel Lake.
Bonnie Lake.
Little Garnier.
Bigger Garnier (With Permission)
Angling Lake (With Permission)
(In My Experience it would be angling.
Soo Many pike in there. non Stop catching all day any day.
but theres no camping.
So you have to ask the farmers permission to camp on there land.
No one has ever let us in Beaver Dam.
If you need a ref number message me.

there alot more.
But i strongly reccoment Angling For pike.
No Camping without permission by a farmer. But there is a boat launch.
not that great pretty shallow. but theres usually a hole you can drop the trailer in. Varies From year To Year.

Great Fishing though:)
