Does anyone know if such thing is possible?.... I swear I saw a trout with brown markings.. but NO COLOR. It was totally silver. Kind of threw me off... Anyone know about anything like this?

No such thing..
Rainbows spring spawners , Browns spawn in the fall.

i doubt if it is possible seeing as Rainbows spawn in the spring and browns spawn in the fall.
it could of been a bull trout you were looking at. if it had no black spots on its upper fin, then it was a bull trout. the young ones do have bright markings on them and they are in the Old Man river system for sure.

found lots of cutbows in rivers for example....

The brown color belongs to a cutthroat. They range from silver to green to brown and gold,
