Bow Weir

has all the work that is being done on the weir effected the fishing down stream. What are some of the thoughts on what they are doing.

they just stoped costruction on it for the spawning but now it looks reel cool what they are doing theres lots of rapids it all most looks like a littal water fall

Is it no longer dangerous? Can you take a pontoon boat down that? LOL

The project is not finished and is not safe - the river will not be open to the public until after all construction is complete and its performance has been thoroughly tested and approved. Do not attempt to "pre-test" any of the features!

Great pictures and thanks for the info, looks like it will be a good thing once it is done. Nice to read that they are stopping during the spawn.

my dad worked on the projeckt last yere he said it is allso for torisim for kayakers when he was working there he pulled out tons of 25 to 30 inch brones right behind the old weir in that pic it just opened on fry day and there will be 5 of those drop offs

the hole point of buliding it is to save lifes so it must be safe but am not shure if it would rec the boat but it looks fun:wave:

Also dont forget the Bow River Pipeline, they were thinking of building standing wave for river surfing I hope it's still a go.
