Well, the Highwood is clearly running to the confluence of the mighty Bow. The water levels in the Highwood look extremely low. Here is my conundrum. I have spoken to many anglers on this stretch and I am getting various answers to this question-"Is it too late or too early for the big spawners, considering that these fish now have access to their spawning tributary. My buddy and I were out last Sunday and managed to catch a few but they were all small.
On a final note, the farmer has posted more signs and is now piling up old buck brush on portions of the trail to the Bow to make it even more difficult to access this great fishery.
