For stocked trout what lures do u find work the best? I assume you use small spoons and spinners? What colors are most productive? Thanks

mepps aglia in rainbow...size 1... they work awesome.. so do alot of other colours in the aglia line

Don't forget the power bait, hatchery fish are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Flies below a casting bubble has worked as well.

definitely pink salmon eggs by berkley.... stocked trout cant resist them. put them on a pickerel rig and you are set

I prefer to fly fish for stocked trout as I find that bait fishing is kind of like catching fish in a barrel. If you must use bait try getting your bait up off the bottom a few feet with a floating bait and a lindy rig set up or an ultralight setup under a float. Remember that most stocked pond trout can be muddy tasting in the summer so try one or two before keeping a bunch.
