Flew into South Leland about 5 years ago, it was really good. They say the fish are bigger in the North though, i would like to see it because we saw some sick pigs follow right up to the boat.

We were up there about 12 yrs ago. So not sure if this will be of any help or not.

Lots of Lakers in the 10 lb range, we did manage an 18 lb pike. For lakers we were just using a 3 way swivel with a dropper line and weight.

I was bringing one Laker up to the boat when I looked down I could still see my spoon. He had a hold of the weight and came right to the surface before he let go.

We were using mostly spoons for the lakers and spinner baits and husky jerks for the pike.

Nice country, seen Moose and Bears everyday we were there. The bugs were pretty thick by the cabins, not to bad on the lake though.

Good Luck on your trip, post some pics when you get back.
