Well, after about six weeks my 3rd bait site is finally getting hit. Got some really nice pictures. Went and sat the site for an afternoon and saw a big black boar but didn't get a chance at him. Think I'm gonna wait for this guy anyways, he's too nice to shoot anything else. Any guesses, score? square? I know personally I haven't seen bigger at any of my sites. Good luck and cheers.

Beautiful bear and I hope you can get him...
To hard to tell from pics but he's to nice of bear to pass up.Looks to be 300+ and over 6 foot anyways.
Imo finding a colored bear over 200 pounds in most area's with hunting pressure is a tough chore so that is a heck of a trophy.

Good luck getting him...and am I reading that right? 9:19 AM and 1:34 PM??? If that's right go kill him ASAP. You can shoot him, leave him, track him, photograph him, skin him, and be back in time for tea.

He started coming in on the 29th at 1130 at night and he's been around about 7 or 8 times after at all times of the day. He usually comes in after the black boar and pushes him off the bait. I have about 250 pics of him and every on he looks massive. I'm so excited I don't know what to do. I'm pretty much hooped til Saturday cus of work but was thinking about going up after work on friday and re baiting with some more oats and molasses and a bucket of chinese cooking oil(licked the bucket clean!!) Then go back sat morning. Maybe burn some scent sticks in the morning. I just don't know because he comes in at all times of the day so I don't want to spook him off the bait. What to do?????????!!!!!!!! Advice? Whitey

Brownbear,
Unfortuneately this is our busy time of year at work so the chances of me scootin out is bad. In your experience how long will a bear like that stick around or any bear for that matter once he starts frequenting a bait site? That goes without saying they are undisturbed. Whitey

HaHa I think if you keep him fed he will stick around..
I am a rookie at baiting bears but there is lots on here that are experts so I am sure you will get an answer to your question..

Frenchwhitie......now theres a name I haven't seen on here in a while:D How are you doing whitie....great looking bear and fantastic hide. Better get him before he gets and itchie bum:D
If you go out to bait on Friday, do the bait, bang the buckets together and go sit your stand. You may be surprised with an opportunity not long after that.
Good luck to you buddy......Marco

Marco is right because sooner then later he is gonna get the itch, either to get rid of the winter coat or the itch to go romance the ladies!! If you haven't many sows around he will wander and go walkabout up to 30 miles.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!
Is that a regular sized 45 gallon drum (2' diameter by 3' high)? If so, I don't think that bear will be close to 6' long.
We nail a 6' long stick to a tree to give us some reference for measuring the bear. This one is almost as tall as the barrel but I don't think it was 6' long.
I have another trail cam picture of a bear standing on all fours and looking down into the barrel but I can't find it. If I do, I'll post it.
