Road Access to Egg Lake by Morinville

As you all probably know, Big Lake is finished for waterfowl hunting. Apparently, the Province and DU bought up all the shoreline around Egg Lake, and restored the Dike System to stabalize water levels. It has been years since I drove down to the lake, and I am hoping I can get a boat into Egg Lake to do some duck hunting. Has anyone been down there, how can you now access the lake, and does anyone know if you can get a boat in?

Long ago, the shore of Egg Lake was pure loon ______, and at one point it actually dried up. Hoping things are better now, and I look forward to the help before the big waves of geese and ducks arrive from up north.

I might have a look see this week...

It's been about 5 years since I was there last and the approaches to the lake were like quick sand. I once saw a guy using snow shoes to walk the shore and out into the water...

Egg Lake is still looncrap. The bottom is very sticky and its next to impossible to get near it.:(

i remeber seeing some access on a twp road on the sw side of the lake.....

i was wondering the same thing just monday driving by

used to get on from sw siedr down access road between fields but really ugly when wet. snowshoe work graet in the loondo but i don,t know about gettig a boat in , mabye a canoe?
