river fishing

Hey just something for anyone who is looking for some decent river fishing before the lakes start to open. Myself and a buddy were down by the genesee bridge on sunday and we were slaying the sauger. Having never caught one before we were mistaken and thought they were walleye. After the second fish we realized what they were. The fish cops even stopped in to see how the fishing was. They seem to be spawning right as well. Just thought I would throw it out there for people to check out.

For those who dont know the bridge is on the NSR about 45 mins or so west of Edmonton.

Thanx for the heads up, it's a pretty common spot but can be hit or miss.
