Opening weekend was a good one. 7 sturgeon, from 1 foot to 4 foot in length. Lots of small burbet, a few good walleye and a few small ones too. The elusive sucker was on the bite, lots of big ones. Even a few goldeye. Went thru lots of bait. Those small sturgeon sure have sharp fins. Good to see the difference in age class.

I would be happy with one of those wee ones this year, just so I catch a sturgeon :sHa_shakeshout: that spot looks familiar. :) Thanks for sharing the pics

Just curious as to what part of the province you are fishing? Not asking to give away your spot, just the general area.

Opening morning first light my buddy caught a sturgeon 24.4. Rest of the day was slow suckers and small burbot. We were west of the hat .
