Cold Lake Report

Lake is wide open, +21 right now, hot for the next week or so, any slush that may be out there will be gone.2 weeks+/- ice off from last few springs.Someone owes me a beer!!!!

You will find there is turnover in the shallow areas off of Medley River, and towards the fish hatchery. You will find good mixing in there right now.

Yup! Saw a boat out in the lake on Tuesday evening. Mine should be in by Friday for an afternoon of fishing!

I cant wait to get out and land a couple nice lakers!!! Driving by the lake everyday and seeing it opening upéand open is killing me!

Lake is closed till the long weekend, what kind of update do you want?Provincial park is booked solid, have to reserve ahead of time now, only 1 loop open for drop ins, the rest,all have to be reserved.All long weekends are booked solid as of yesterday.

Nope im not in the airforce, oilpatch! The lake is definitly open, i even seen kids swimming in the lake yesterday haha that lake is to cold for me even in august! +28 yesterday and there calling for +30 today!!! I would say opening weekend you wont even need the downriggers the lakers will be right at surface!!!

I'll have to wait until I get back from Flin Flon about the 8th of June. Had fun ice fishing Cold Lake for the first time this year and can't wait to explore open water !

thanks I have had my site booked for over a month didnt really think about opening day when i asked for the update guess i will give the update when i get back again i am not really familliar with the lake but ill find em.
