I have quite a bit of wild meat to give away. Deer mostly, might be some elk there as well. It's been froze in freezer paper since 08 so not sure if it's still good for human consumption but it could always be used for bear bait or something. I'm in Calgary at the north end in Coventry if anyone wants it.

Should still be good, maybe a little freezer burn, cut it off and make some jerky.

I had some meat left over from my 08 seasons and wasn't sure what to do with it, my dad said to try calling the Mustard Seed and see if they would want it. So i called them and they where so greatful. Maybe do something like that??

As long as it was properly packaged, it should be fine.

In fact, I'm just south of you. PM coming :)

Thanks so much! You are an angel :) I think this stuff might feed us for the next year.

Judging from your avatar, I'd say you need a much better diet.

Roasts, steaks, whatever...now is a good time to take it to a meat processor and get them to make you some sausage, peperoni, burger.

They will cut out anything that may be freezer burnt and with some fresh spice sausage will turn out really good. Been there done that!!! Actually it was my butchers advice that i was bringing him too much at one time. He said bring about 30lbs in for sausage and whatever and when its gone bring him another 30lbs, that way it always fresh.

all the so called freezer burn is actually not a burn at all it is just the moisture removed , pop it it water overnite or boil it a bit and its good as new, then fry or cook as you wish.
lts like dried food.
My question would also be , if you dont eat what you kill , then why kill:thinking-006:
