You should be all right the water level seems a wee bit higher than it was in the fall.

The Edmonton Journal had an advisory for Pigeon Lake as the launch area is low

Got to love it even more when someone has to tie their boat off for the day and leave it there.
Alberta Provinical camp ground.....take in money and don't but anything back!
It needs alot of work .
They just take your money and...:scared0018:

I believe the Provincial boat launch is closed due to the low water levels. Unsure if it is still useable and just has a sign saying use at your own risk or if it has been completely barricaded off.

Use mulhurst bay, a better launch although still LOW.

I was out at the Provinical Park boat launch 2 weeks ago, May 8th, and was able to float my boat off the trailer, but as I was pushing it out in about 18" of water, about 35' from shore ran into a sandbar. Floated my boat back to the trailer and left....very low water.

P.S. there is a hole at the boat launch...I found it as I was walking back to shore...Ankle deep to waist deep, pants rolled up to my knees didn't help!

I would be leary to lauch in either spot if the water is lower than it was last year.
Mulhurst cost me 2 props last year and I was only there for a week. Same thing there at the launch, deep enough to launch and then you are pushing the boat for 50 feet before you can let the engine down.

There are also a lot of discarded cement blocks and sand bars.

I stand corrected. Its not closed but one is advised not to launch or to do so carefully.

The fishing is great if u wanna caught small walleye all day long. I launched at Mulhurst bay on may long in the storm and had no problems, but is low. This lake is being destroyed year by year.

Launch at Mulhurst today was just fine, even huge pontoon boats and speedboats launched /w no probs. Fishing was was slow though, 2 walleye(all too big to keep) and a slimy 5lb shark.

Yes you will be able to get your boat in at the Provincial Park. I was just there Saturday June 5th, with a 16foot Fiberglass boat. The water is low, but the ramp is very good. They have also put up a floating plastic dock 90degrees out from the old dock. So you can get in and out without getting wet too. We had to push our boat out with the paddles a little ways, but not as bad as everyone is trying to make out. Go there, the walleyes are still biting, yes they are mostly small, but its a great evening out on a calm lake.

it's about time they build those plastic docks at Pigeon. that would help a lot for boaters to use that ramp.

Or maybe they could build one that extend all the way to the drop off just off the dock....it's seems like 80% people just fish there:sign0161:

there is no way anyone can launch at Fisher home right now. your truck can go passed the dock and your boat will still be sitting on the trailer!!!:sign0176:
