So I just came back from Sibbald Meadows Pond, and decided to make a stop at the lake. Well, turns out, they DID stock it this year. Looks like quite a few too. Water level is still pretty low, but lots of fish around.

they likely stocked it last Monday, the same day they stocked the pond<was there to see it> We were teased by them all days swimming in huge schools right in front of us.....they put 1600 in the pond and probably the same amount in the lake..

Buddy of mine pulled 35 out of there yesterday. Biggest was 15" to 17". Sounded like a lot of fun.....

I believe he kept 3 that were hooked deep and I'm pretty sure the REGS don't care if you're ASIAN or not....:rolleye2:

somebody said they stalked it with cutthroat this year but i dont think so as yesterday out of the 35 only 5 were cutthroat 29 were rainbow and i small brookie....3 weeks ago it was 1 rainbow and the rest were cutthroat with some brookies added in for diversity....gotta get a float tube and fly rod..that looks like a blast floatin around and would keep you away from the crowded shoreline....when i left people were so close and everybody whipping fly line and lures around....it was getting a little scary.....lol

If you invest in a float tube, make sure you purchase neoprene wadders. The lite wadders are good when the water warm's up, but it's still a wee bit chilly now!
