trout spoons

Can you guys give me a couple of ideas on SPOONS for Trout.

spoons, either red and white or black and white, but i've had really good luck with an orange and black panther martin...i think it's a 1/8oz size..

I second the Len Thompson 5 of Diamonds. I also like Lucky Strike with the pink, blue and white with black speckles.

Crocs Rainbow Trt pattern, along with the pure silver with silver holographic checkers.

Pretty much any len thompson in the apropriate size will work, I favor the black diamonds and orange and white patterns.

Kamlooper all the way! They are cheaper than len thompsons and come in similar colours with gold or silver plating. The equivalent sized Kamlooper compared with len thompson is weighted slighty heavier, so they cast farther especially in the wind, and sink faster. I've used these for years now and haven't bought a len thompson since.

Mepps syclops work for any trout and they have like 5 sizes from 1 inch to 4 inches. I really like the rainbow color it works for bulls and browns.

Its always a good question but if you narrow down to species type and the type of fishing , trolling casting ect that helps.
Anything with a gold or silver finish and some red on it has worked well for
me for all species of trout.

When we went to Carson I had really good luck with a small blue/silver Fiord spoon. Well enough that I had to go back and pick up an orange one as well :) Only place I've seen them so far is the WSS in the South Edmonton Common though.

Spoons eh, hmm don't use em much for trout but i would be trying a lil red n white or perhaps the good ol 5 of D. Couple friends pulled 30-40 bows outta Bullshead yesterday (kept 2 for the smoker) using red n white mepps, think size 4?

A great uncle of mine introduced me to these things while fishing in BC about 15 years ago, loved them since i was a boy. Don't hardly ever fish with them anymore. I used to catch lots of Rockies in the Red Deer river with them too.
