Ok, it is nice story but that fish is not 20 lbs... more like 8-9 lbs at best. If it is 30 inch......well, I caught pike two weeks ago which was 32 inch and fat... guess what it was 8.8 lbs...I do not think muskies are that much fatter:)

Awesome story!!!! Of course it's not a 20lb fish...but who really cares!? To her it is a TROPHY!!! I'm sure it's a moment her and her family will cherish for ever! To her it was 20lbs and that's all that matters!! How many of you have told you wife she's the most beautiful woman in the world?

I took a fella out fishing , and brought his son along . So I got one of them Shrek rods , took out the crappy line respooled the reel with 30 lb braided line . And he casted it out and he said dad its really heavy , I helped him out , And landed this beast . http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/JOHN_CONROY/420458e5.jpg ( Dont have permission to post the kids face so Ive editied it )

Pretty good first fish . Then the poor kid put a 5 of diamonds in the back of his head . I was able to cut the hook off leaving the one that was in the skin , (BARBLESS) took em to Wetaskiwin in 5 minutes poped it out and a half hour later were back fishing .Glad he didnt wanna give up after getting hurt . Heck they argued over when it was time to go home 12 hours later . :sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout::s Ha_shakeshout: HOOKED FOR LIFE I SAY .:sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout:

A buddy of mine was out with his kids at Little Bow on the weekend. He had bought his 3 year old I think he said it was a spiderman rod. His son caught a pike the same size as the rod. He said it was the funniest thing as the kid had 2 hands on the rod and it was doubled over. He said when his son got the fish close he reeled the line so far up the leader was up into the guide. Then he pointed the rod right at the fish and hoisted the fish up onto the dock. My buddy was going to grab the net when he got over to his son he had the fish on the dock.

I'll try to get a picture and post it. Talk about getting hooked for life. I almost had a tear in my eye I was laughing so hard when he told me today.

I talked with my buddy, Doug. He said the rod he got his son was NOT a Spider Man rod. It was in fact a Buzz Lightyear rod made by Shakespear. So sorry if I mislead anyone. I wouldn't want Jts1 running out and buying a Spiderman rod for himself thinking he might just catch a fish. When in fact it should be the Buzz Lightyear rod he should be getting.

I wonder who would win that fight between Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear? :fighting0074:

Cheers,
Rob
