I'm thinking of heading to Shunda creek on Thursday and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the creek condition.....high and dirty or looking good?

I have a friend in Nordegg. This is her response.

Muddy and higher--had lots of rain before the weekend (about 10 days straight). The creek isn't over the bank but is certainly higher and dirty. I know the Blackstone is really muddy and the Ram is less muddy.

We were there on Saturday and Shunda Creek was the highest I had seen it in the 50 or so times I had fished it. The water was dirty, but not as dirty as some of the other creeks in the area. Fishing was very slow but should improve as the water level drops. Good luck!

Looks like I will give it a shot, have to use up some holidays and either way it will be nice to get out and try the new gear.

whats the verdict? I was thinking of setting out that way saturday and camping somewhere. I been to a few of the lakes in that region, goldeye and fish but have never gotten time to try the rivers in the area. I was thinking of trying the ram...
