Thanks for the link. My wife and I applied for Pinehurst and were both unsuccsessful, and it really bugs me that F&W are saying that the walleye population in Pinehurst is threatened but they are still allowed to have a walley fishing tournament on the lake!! Just Venting and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels the same way.

Thanks for posting - I found the information interesting. Now I know why I did not get drawn for Newell. Not to get into a big techncial debate, but can anyone enlighten me about how they come up with the allocated number of tags per lake - what's with 36, 121, 129, 688, 3518, etc? I would have expected something at least rounded to the nearest 50? Why bother with anything less than 100?

Wow is that a joke. Can't believe this province. WTF is the point of 10 tags....really?

am I missing something? Pigeon Lake, Class C, Why was there only 808 people drawn on 884 applications for a quota of 3518? Shouldn't all 884 been drawn and the rest been available as undersubscribed?

WHAT?! You can't get undersubscribed tags for Newell anymore?!

Heck no. 22% people were onyl lucky enough to be drawn, plus no class b this year. Totally licks, cause everytime I've been there we've caught so many big fish.

The missing 80 people are ones that applied on the class B or another lake as first choice and were successful. Many of them would have applied for the B with the C as backup or another lake with pidgeon as backup. When they got their tags they weren't eligible to get the C tags even though their application is still counted. Clear as mud?

Yeah from 1311 licences for class A and 364 B's last year to 210 this year and no B class!

Crazy hey? How much was made on the applications? Why don't they release the tag #'s before the draw? Silly

Maybe to gauge interest? That's the only thing I can come up with.

Being that RHR was the all I applied for, I'm not impressed to learn that there were only 10 tags available.

Yeah, the problem i have is that we never see the money go back into the fisheries. It's really too bad.
