Went there fishing last weekend caught 23 walleyes and the fish where all to big they avg 53 cm
These 43 or less tags are a waste buy the time ya fillet them ,there is not much of a fillet

I always concidered 43cm a nice eating fish. But then again I grew up at Lake of the Praries where you can't keep anything over 45cm....ever. Except 1 master angler I guess. But who wants to eat those...

Are they bitting near shore? Or is the water level pretty low this year?

The water level on the lake is extremely low.
Not sure of too many places you could fish them from shore. Heck the water is only 3 feet deep 200 yards out at Mameo.

Yeah thats what i thought the girl freinds dad was putting in his docks about 3 weeks ago and said it was very low i was hoping this rain would lift it a bit.

I think you need to learn how to filet. A 40-43 cm fish is a real nice filet, very good tasting too.

easy to fillet but you will need to get 3 fish for a meal. Got 2 at calling lake about 51 cm and just makes a good meal.
