Happy Fathers Day

took the clan out for some family time today. managed to kill a few gophers, shoot a few guns and gave the bow a workout. my stepson killed his first gopher today. his dad thinks its barbaric, but his mama was mighty proud.

my son has shot hundreds of em, but he isnt bored of it yet.

and even my daughter who is usually far too cool, and way too prissy to take part in such things managed to shoot a couple. this one she took freehand at about 30 yards. she actually loves this stuff...fishing too, but would die if her friends knew she liked it.

i tried to find a pic of a bowkill that is a little bloody and gooey. this was the best i could do.

it was a fun day for everyone....well except for the gophers.

few things in life are more fun to me than a field full of gophers and my bow.
potty, i use carbons for everything but gophers. i just feel safer shooting aluminium into the ground. i saw a guy once who didnt notice a crack in an arrow and ended up with it in his hand. i want to maximize shooting time out there instead of inspecting arrows. now, as for the lovely pink fletch, well they make me feel pretty. :sHa_sarcasticlol: those arrows are brand new, this was their first trip out.
